We had a very nice stay in the heart of Alfama. Very central and clean apartment. We liked it very much, especially being in Lisbon this month with all the festivities.

meeting was easy and his wife was very very nice. the flat was clean but as you could not open the windows (because otherwise it would have smelled like grilled fish) it was a bit inconvenient. additionally you have to walk lots of stairs before you reach the flat-not so easy with luggage.
but all in all very nice

Giuseppe is a very accommodating host! He allowed us to check in early because there are no guest from the previous day. This is a huge advantage for us because our train arrive early. We walk from the Santa Apolonia station, which is not far from the flat. The best way is to find the Fardo museum which is 20 meters from the flat. There are quite a few stairs from the bottom so travelers with large luggage like us might have a bit of work out when checking in. But Giuseppe within 5 minutes once we called him. And the apartment is clean and tidy. Appliances are at high quality. You can find cooking appliances, cutteries,hair dryer(very important to me), towels,plenty of maps and infos. The bed head light can adjust dim to bright so that's handy! The area is Alfama which is the first original housing in Lisboa. An earthquake in 1755 destroyed almost everything and people in respect of these architectural distinctions they reproduced exactly as they were when rebuilding this area so you will find the winding hilly streets engraved full of tiny apartments with beautiful porcelain decorations. Be cautious with your belongings at the touristy area, we witness a pick-picketer being caught on the famous tram 28. Belem is my favorite place among the trip. The Belem tower and the Jerome monastery is an interesting site. But you must must must try the famous egg tarts at the Pasteis de Belem! They are GORGEOUS! And you simply can not been to Lisboa and not try them! I had about 5 and GOD they are addictive!!!: ) Taxi here is not too over priced so if you have 2-3 people taxi is a good way to navigate this city. Overall we are satisfied and will visit again! Séjour très agréable dans cet appartement- propre et bien agencé-. Situation stratégique pour visiter Lisbonne à pieds, de jour comme de nuit. Hôte très accueillant ! A recommander.

We had a wonderful time in Lisbon thanks to Giuseppe. His place is in a great location and we enjoyed getting lost in the streets of Alfama as well as riding the #28 streetcar as he recommended. He was very welcoming- brought us a couple of 'nata' pastries to try as a welcoming gift. He also took time to explain to us what places to visit in Lisbon and outside. For instance, he recommended going to Cascais, the beach town, as well as Sintra, another beautiful town close to Lisbon, and we absolutely loved them both. Going to Belem for the lovely 'nata' pastries and exploring the lively night life in Bario Alto were also excellent recommendations. The apartment itself was very cozy and cute. We definitely enjoyed it. Thanks Giuseppe!!!

The apt was in the heart of Alfama and far 5 minutes walk from the centre of the city. It was clean and really comfortable. Giuseppe gave us some precious infos about what to do, what to see and where he loves going to eat in Lisbon, but also in Belem and Sintra where we've been. We will reserve for sure his apt also next time we'll go to Lisbon and we hope to know his family too!

We had a great time at Giuseppe's apartment! The location is great--Alfama is a very nice neighborhood of the city, and it was cool to wind through the streets of the neighborhood and explore. There are many, many cafes and pastry shops near the apartment, and it is also very near the Santa Apolonia stop, which we used for the metro and for the train to Porto. The apartment is very nice and comfortable, and a good size for the two of us. Giuseppe was very helpful, meeting us near the apartment to introduce us to the city and give us tips about Lisbon. Thank you for the treats, Giuseppe! We had a lovely vacation and were very happy with the apartment.

Giuseppe is such a great host! He brought local treats as well as water. The apartment is in a great location of Alfama district. Alfama is the old part of lisbon, beautiful quite streets with a ton of great restaurants!

Apartment is very well designed. Its a little small if you're more than 2 people but perfect for a couple. I would highly recommend it!

El apartamento esta emplazado en el barrio mas guapo de Lisboa, todo estaba limpio y es exactamente igual que en las fotos, el casero Giuseppe se portó genial con nosotros, ayudandonos y recomendado lugares para visitar y comer, nuestra experiencia ha sido excelente!!

Giuseppe was the perfect host, very warm welcoming, fun, and with lot of good advices for lisboa and I guess he can speak all languages!
The apartment is great, very well located, nice and cosy, and the terace upward offers a great view!

We stayed in Guiseppe's wonderful apartment for 3 nights and we really enjoyed every second of it. It is exactly like it looks in the pictures. Very clean,romantic, small and cosy. The location is perfect right in the heart of Alfama district. Guiseppe was a very nice host. He gave us many tips about where to go what to see what to eat, etc. He took his time to explain everything and we were pleased by his warm welcome and hospitality.

Guiseppe fut un hôte remarquable, il nous a accueilli avec des pâtisseries locales, un grand sourire et a prit le temps de nous expliquer tout ce qu'il faut savoir sur Lisbonne sans oublier les bonnes adresses !!!
L'appartement est extrêmement bien situé dans Alfama proche de tout et très calme. Ne pas rater la vue de la terrasse juste au dessus.
Un vrai petit nid d'amour !!!

Dora met us for the key with some escellent local cookies as a welcome gift. The tip for the fado show is excellent. If you are in a less commercial experience then just drop in for drinks around 23.00 or even later. All singers do 3 songs and then there is a break. The apartment is super cozy and in the the heart of alfama the old historic town. It has been renovated and is well equipt (even an umbrella which we did not need ;-).

Giuseppe and Dora are very friendly and helpful hosts. Communication and everything have been fast and easy. They gave us all the information we needed to have an awesome stay. The apartment, located in the heart of Alfama neighborhood, is a very good starting point to explore the city, very well renovated and fully equipped. The bed was comfortable, the flat clean, and anything we needed was available. We really enjoyed staying at this apartment and highly recommend this place!

L'appartement loué par Giuseppe, situé dans l'Alfama, est parfaitement situé pour visiter Lisbonne (5 minutes du Chiado, 10 de Bairro Alto).
Il est très calme et bien équipé.

Apartment is located at a perfect location at Alfama, little cafes and restaurants are just few mins away by foot. Night time there were Fado music party in the area which was soooooo lovely. Apartment itself is clean and tidy and have everything you need for a few nights of stay, very quiet at night eventhough it's like 2 mins away from the party area which is great. Giuseppe greet us opposite the Fado museum and walk us to the apartment, with a brief introduction of the area; he's very kind to have the wifi internet set up for us on the next day when he learnt my boyfriend has to do some conference over internet. We enjoyed staying in his apartment very much! :)
